BRIEF
Kolkata based Emami Group, seeked to launch a new herbal petroleum jelly in to the Indian market to compete with international player Vaseline. The product would serve to act as a curative measure to treat a variety of irritable skin problems such as chapped lips, cracked skin etc. which would be commonly experienced by consumers particularly during the winter period.
SOLUTION
The project required a new brand name generation, identity and brand packaging (including tub mould). A simple colour scheme was used to promote the products herbal content, whilst allowing for brand extension to include other variants within the product range. The use of symbols encouraged alternative product usage applications (Lips, Hands, Feet etc). Due to its successful launch the brand has now extended into the lip balm category.
