BRIEF
Eveready Industries is the largest selling battery and torch brand in India, occupying 43% and 85% of the market share respectively. It was identified that the brand packaging required a significant revitalisation to promote the brand as a market leader in terms of both product innovation and consumer appeal against rival competitor brands.
SOLUTION
A key consideration in the redesign exercise was firstly to consolidate the entire torch product range in to a clear and structured categorisation based on apparent product value, technology and consumer usage/function. This would serve to create clear differentiation whilst a distinctive consumer appeal was generated through alternative and vibrant packaging formats. I incorporated client feedback in developing and producing the finalised artwork templates for an agreed range of torch types. The redesign contributed in a sales increase of 28% of the torches range which greatly impacted rural communities, and led to a further design brief to redesign their popular battery range.
